Daegu City Offers ‘Smart Listening’ for Free English Education
Daegu City has announced the launch of its online English learning service, ‘Daegu Smart Listening,’ providing free access to all citizens. The platform utilizes EBS’s English learning content, offering a flexible way to study English anytime, anywhere, via PC or mobile devices.
Enhanced Learning Features
Building on traditional listening comprehension, ‘Daegu Smart Listening’ incorporates new features such as vocabulary acquisition and AI-powered conversation practice. The vocabulary service offers eight types of exercises and adaptive word lists to help users expand their lexicon. The AI conversation feature allows learners to practice speaking, receive feedback on pronunciation, and improve their fluency by listening and repeating English phrases.
Incentivizing Continued Learning
To encourage consistent engagement and motivation, the service also includes a ‘Study Point’ reward system. Points are awarded based on problem-solving and participation, fostering a sense of accomplishment and encouraging users to continue their learning journey.
