TRI.BE Drops Striking Concept Photos for Upcoming Film ‘We Are the Wave’
With the premiere of the film ‘We Are the Wave’ just a day away, TRI.BE has unveiled a series of daring concept photos for their second release. These images, for the track ‘Shout It Out,’ present a stark contrast to the bright and refreshing aesthetic of their first title song, ‘Love is,’ showcasing a bold transformation for the group.
Hybrid Dance Track Blends 90s Sound with Social Commentary
‘Shout It Out’ is described as a hybrid dance track that incorporates the raw sounds of the late 90s, tackling environmental issues and offering direct social criticism. The accompanying visuals embrace a Y2K-inspired cyber warrior theme, immediately capturing attention.
The newly released stills feature the members adorned in shimmering metallic outfits, conveying a rebellious mood. Each member’s distinct personality is vividly portrayed, creating a powerful and lasting impression. From individual shots highlighting intense gazes against dark backgrounds to group shots where unbridled energy harmonizes, the visuals evoke a strong sense of nostalgia.
Members Showcase Individual Charisma and Group Synergy
Dance machine Hyunwoo, portrayed by Kang Dong-won, exudes an almost palpable intensity with his silver-dyed, messy hair and cap, seemingly ready to leap through the camera. Meanwhile, rapper Sanggu, played by Uhm Tae-goo, embodies hip-hop energy with his explosive, untamed hair and metallic oversized jumper accented by a silver chain necklace.
Adding to the dynamic, center Domi, brought to life by Park Ji-hyun, commands attention with a daring crop top and heavy smoky eye makeup, showcasing her ‘girl crush’ appeal and achieving perfect synergy with the group.
‘We Are the Wave’: A Comedy of Second Chances
‘We Are the Wave’ is a comedy film centered on TRI.BE, a three-member co-ed dance group that once dominated the music scene. After an unforeseen incident led to their abrupt disbandment, they now have the chance to make a comeback after 20 years, embarking on a daring challenge.
The film stars Kang Dong-won, Uhm Tae-goo, and Park Ji-hyun, with Oh Jung-se also in the cast. The movie is directed by Son Jae-gon, known for ‘Sweet, Scary,’ and ‘Welcome to Dongmakgol.’ The film is set to premiere on the 3rd.
