A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of illegally filming women in a changing room at a water park in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The suspect, identified as ‘A,’ allegedly disguised himself as a woman to gain access to the women’s changing facilities at Caribbean Bay, a popular water park located in Yongin City. Suspect’s Alleged Actions and Method of Entry
According to the Gyeonggi Yongin Dongbu Police Station, suspect A is accused of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and the Act on the Punishment of Forced Evasion, among other offenses. The investigation revealed that A allegedly entered the women’s changing rooms at Caribbean Bay on three separate occasions: July 17, July 24, and July 30. During these alleged intrusions, he is suspected of using a small camera to record women as they changed their clothes.
Initially, the authorities were aware of two alleged incidents on July 17 and July 30. However, further investigation by the police confirmed A’s presence at the water park on July 24 as well, leading to the discovery of an additional offense. To carry out his alleged acts, A reportedly wore a wig with short hair and disguised himself as a woman, enabling him to enter the restricted area.

The alleged illegal filming first came to light on July 30. On that day, A was reportedly seen loitering in the changing room while concealing his face with a hat, mask, and sunglasses. Remarkably, even after the investigation began, A allegedly returned to Caribbean Bay just a few days later, on August 1. During this subsequent visit, he is suspected of touching a woman’s body in a water attraction, an act that was reportedly witnessed. Despite this new allegation, police were initially unable to confirm if this individual was the same suspect involved in the illegal filming, leading to his temporary release after questioning.
