This outreach follows remarks made by CEO Huang on the 8th of this month, when he identified Samcheok as a potential investment opportunity during his visit to South Korea. The former governor, who previously served as the head of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province during the 9th 민선 administration, highlighted Samcheok’s advantageous position for technological development.

In the letter, the former governor described Samcheok as a ‘clean slate’ with virtually no regulations. This environment, the letter asserts, is perfectly suited to Nvidia’s needs for ‘zero carbon emissions, unlimited scalability, and overwhelming speed,’ making it an optimal investment destination.
The proposal further emphasized Samcheok’s significant assets, drawing parallels to locations like Arizona in the United States and the Goseong region in Saudi Arabia.
