Comedian Meng Seung-ji has revealed her contemplation of undergoing a forehead augmentation procedure, a decision that comes after she previously reversed a lip filler surgery. The comedian shared her thoughts and a video clip on her personal social media on the 31st of last month, where she appeared to be examining her face in a mirror, lifting and lowering her forehead. She was seen contemplating the possibility of a forehead procedure.
However, the feedback Meng Seung-ji received from those around her largely advised against the surgery. Consequently, she decided to postpone the operation for the time being, stating, “Everyone told me not to do it, so I’ve put it on hold.”
A History of Cosmetic Procedure Reversals
This is not the first time Meng Seung-ji has publicly discussed altering or reversing a cosmetic procedure. In February, she disclosed that she had undergone a lip filler surgery, followed by another procedure to dissolve the filler. At the time, she explained her initial decision, recounting, “I took a photo of the lips I wanted and asked, ‘Can you make them look like this?’ The doctor said, ‘It might not look pretty…’ but I wanted to try it once, so I insisted on going through with it.”
Meng Seung-ji elaborated on her change of heart regarding the lip fillers. She admitted that after some time had passed, her perspective shifted significantly. “Looking back at the photos and videos, I thought, ‘This doesn’t look like my face,'” she confessed. She felt that her lips had become too prominent, appearing unnatural and not aligning with the aesthetic she had originally desired.
Her mother also expressed concern, remarking that her lips looked “too strange.” This sentiment contributed to Meng Seung-ji’s eventual decision to have the filler removed. She explained that the experience taught her a valuable lesson about the nature of cosmetic enhancements.
Lessons Learned from Cosmetic Pursuits
Reflecting on her experiences, Meng Seung-ji shared her broader philosophy on cosmetic procedures and personal appearance. “I think it was a case of excess,” she stated, referring to her previous decision to proceed with the lip fillers against advice. She believes that when it comes to surgeries and aesthetic improvements, striving for more does not necessarily lead to greater beauty.
Instead, she now advocates for a more moderate approach. “I think the most natural and elegant look comes from having just a little bit of dissatisfaction,” she explained. “Let’s try to be pretty for a long time by curbing our desires a little.” This perspective suggests a shift towards valuing subtlety and natural beauty over drastic alterations.
