Actress Lee Si-young is making preparations for an extended stay in Canada with her eldest son. A recent video uploaded to her YouTube channel, ‘Boosiyoung’, titled ‘One Month Living in Canada Time’, documented the initial stages of this plan. Appearing with a face mask on, Lee expressed a moment of shyness, questioning if her casual appearance was appropriate.
Canada Trip Preparations Underway
Lee explained her motivation for filming, stating, “I thought it would be nice to share my current situation while doing a mask pack after putting the two children to sleep.” She then elaborated on the upcoming trip, revealing, “Right now, I am preparing to live in Canada for a month with my son Ian.” Lee acknowledged that a month is a significant duration and that there are many preparations involved. She decided to film and share these preparations with her audience.
Focus on Son’s Education and Associated Costs
The video also touched upon Lee’s son’s educational background. Her eldest son is reportedly enrolled at Chadwick International School in Songdo, Incheon. This particular institution is known for attracting children of celebrities and prominent figures, leading to its reputation as an ‘elite school’. The tuition fees at such international schools, covering kindergarten through high school, are reported to be substantial, potentially reaching around 600 million KRW (approximately $450,000 USD) for the entire period. This highlights the significant financial investment in his education.
Beyond his schooling in Korea, Lee’s son has prior experience living abroad, having spent time in the United States where he has relatives. This international exposure is seen as part of his upbringing and preparation for future global experiences. The upcoming month-long stay in Canada is another step in this direction, offering him a different cultural and educational environment.
