Under the new agreement, YK Law Firm will establish a 24-hour emergency contact line for accident reporting. Upon receiving notification of a major accident or emergency incident, the firm plans to deploy a designated legal representative to the affected region within 30 minutes. This rapid response will be facilitated by leveraging YK’s network of 31 offices nationwide. The assigned lawyer will then connect with the relevant construction engineer to initiate support.
However, not all reported incidents will automatically qualify for legal support. The association will carefully review each case to determine eligibility based on the urgency and severity of the accident, as well as the necessity for legal intervention. Cases selected for support will be handled by a dedicated response team comprising lawyers and relevant experts.
Detailed Investigation and Legal Strategy
The response team’s role will extend to reconstructing the factual circumstances and operational environment at the accident site. They will provide technical and legal guidance for initial responses, including evidence preservation and procedural advice during investigations. This early intervention is considered critical for establishing a clear understanding of the events and supporting the engineer’s position.
Should the situation require further action beyond the initial response, such as ongoing police or Ministry of Employment and Labor investigations, or if criminal proceedings become necessary, YK Law Firm will offer continued legal services. This extended support will be provided under a separate retainer agreement with the involved engineer.
