The weather forecast indicates that both the mercury and perceived temperatures will rise significantly across most regions, leading to oppressive heat.
High Temperatures and Heatstroke Warnings
Certain coastal areas of Gangwon Province, along with parts of South Chungcheong and southern regions, are anticipated to see a peak perceived temperature of up to 31 degrees Celsius. With the possibility of heatstroke running high, health authorities are urging residents to limit outdoor activities and strenuous exertion. It is also recommended to stay well-hydrated and be mindful of food safety to prevent spoilage.
Torrential Rain Forecast for Southern Coasts and Jeju
The southern coastlines and Jeju Island are bracing for the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rainfall. Rain is expected to begin falling from Monday afternoon, primarily impacting the southern coast of Jeollanam-do Province, coastal areas of Gyeongnam Province, and Jeju Island.

Accumulated rainfall is projected as follows by Tuesday:
- Jeollanam-do Southern Coast and Southern West Coast: 20-60 mm, with some areas potentially exceeding 80 mm.
- Gyeongnam Southern Coast, Busan, and Ulsan: 20-60 mm, with southwestern coastal areas of Gyeongnam possibly receiving over 80 mm.
- Jeju Island: 30-80 mm, with mountainous regions possibly experiencing over 120 mm and up to 150 mm in some spots.
