Influencer Imvely has openly shared her thoughts on marriage and divorce, detailing her current relationship with her ex-husband.
Navigating Life After Divorce
In a recent YouTube video titled ‘Aolki X Imvely X Ki Eun-sae: Dolshing Talk,’ Imvely, alongside hosts Ki Eun-sae and Aolki, engaged in a candid discussion about their perspectives on love and life following divorce.
Shifting Views on Relationships
When asked about the differences in dating before and after divorce, Ki Eun-sae humorously noted that her memory of earlier dating days was hazy. She attributed the changes more to aging than to being single. “Dating itself might be similar, but the way one receives sincerity from a partner has changed,” Ki Eun-sae explained. “In the past, I would believe 100%, but now I find myself questioning ‘Why?’ more often. I think I’ve become a bit more cautious and skeptical.”
Imvely echoed these sentiments, stating, “After experiencing a major breakup, it’s not easy. Because I’ve been hurt before, I’ve developed a defense mechanism and a sense of fear, making me more careful.”
However, Imvely expressed a positive outlook on marriage itself. “I still recommend trying marriage at least once,” she stated. “You truly only know by experiencing it yourself.”
Maintaining a Positive Connection
Imvely particularly drew attention when discussing her relationship with her ex-husband. “My ex-husband and I are still on good terms,” she revealed. “Because we have a child, we discuss all matters related to our child together.”
She added, “Marriage has made me mature significantly. Meeting my ex-husband during my immature younger days taught me how to become a better person. I am grateful for those aspects.”
To lighten the mood, Aolki suggested a new nickname, asking, “How about ‘The Fabulous Single’?” Ki Eun-sae responded with a laugh, “I don’t know what that means, but it sounds good.” Aolki then quipped, “This is the golden age of my life.”
A Cautious Approach to Divorce
Despite their personal experiences, all three emphasized that divorce should not be taken lightly. “I am absolutely not encouraging divorce,” Aolki stated firmly. “If you can maintain your family, it’s best to do so.” She continued, “However, I hope that those who are divorced don’t feel like their lives are ruined. Divorce is a very difficult and challenging process. We all went through tough times in our own ways.”
