The video documents Seo In-young visiting her parents, who manage a food processing plant. During her visit, she participated in a day of work at the facility. Upon seeing her father, Seo In-young playfully demanded the return of her gold, exclaiming, “Dad, give me my gold. My gold.” Her father, however, deflected the request, stating, “It’s fine.”
This interaction harks back to a previous revelation in 2008, during the filming of ‘We Got Married,’ where Seo In-young disclosed that her parents were holding onto the gold necklace she received at the MBC Entertainment Awards that year. Despite her playful persistence, her father maintained a firm stance, reminding her, “You have a debt.”
The Mother’s Gift and Its Value
During the recent visit, Seo In-young’s mother quietly called her over and presented the gold necklace. She explained that the gift was originally intended for Seo In-young to commemorate the time when her child would start kindergarten, a significant milestone. The mother revealed, “Your father said it was 10 don (approximately 37.5 grams) back then.” The production team added context by stating the current market value, estimating it to be around 9 million Korean Won (approximately $6,000 USD), much to Seo In-young’s surprise.
