Renowned 53-year-old chef Choi Hyun-seok has become a grandfather following his daughter’s safe delivery of a healthy baby boy.
Daughter Shares Emotional Birth Announcement
Choi Yeon-su, the chef’s daughter, celebrated the occasion by posting photos on her social media shortly after discharge from the hospital. In the images, she flashes a thumbs-up while dressed in a hospital gown and beams with a bright smile post-recovery.
Accompanying the photos, Yeon-su expressed profound relief and joy. “The baby came out well,” she wrote, adding, “Fortunately, the newborn breathed independently, avoiding the NICU.”
She continued, “Even though this isn’t my first delivery and I’m familiar with the process, I still felt nervous and scared. But since the baby arrived healthy, I felt so relieved.” Yeon-su highlighted a special moment during birth: “At the instant of our baby’s arrival, ‘I love you’ played.” She concluded emotionally, “I will raise this child filled with love.”
Family Background and Timeline
Choi Yeon-su married Kim Tae-hyun, the vocalist of the band Dick Punks and 12 years her senior, in September. Just three months later, in December, she announced her pregnancy.
The new grandchild has brought immense happiness to Choi Hyun-seok’s family. Born in 1972, the celebrated chef now enjoys this milestone with great pride.
