Song Joong-ki and his wife Katie Louise Saunders made their first joint public appearance in three years during a special concert performance.
Emotional Narration at Prestigious Event
The couple took the stage together at the 7th Jeonggi Yeonjuhoe titled ‘Erinny Jeonggyeong,’ held at the IBK Chamber Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on April 18. This marked their return to the spotlight ahead of the 21st Garon Solroiseu event.
The performance was part of the 46th Jangaeinui Nal collaboration between Jangae and Bijaangae music companies, focusing on vibrant music exchanges between the two labels. Song Joong-ki’s team opened the show with the track ‘Dongmul Sayukje,’ featuring the couple in the center for ‘Seoju and Saja Wang’s Haengjin.’
Affectionate Exchange Captivates Audience
Live-streamed via YouTube, the duo shared a touching moment. Katie spoke in English, while Song Joong-ki responded in Korean. “My dad. Like this myself. I want to make these people who trust and love me more and more happy,” Katie said. “People say that thanks to my warmth, they become stronger and learn. But making myself stronger is loyalty and trust, and that’s true happiness.”
Their narration lasted about one minute and served as the emotional finale of the joint concert.
Private Life Since Marriage
This appearance represents Song Joong-ki’s briefest public outing since tying the knot. The couple, who connected through mutual acquaintances in 2021, welcomed twins last November after keeping a low profile for years.
