Group RIIZE is making a vibrant comeback with their second mini-album, II (투), released on June 15th. The new release showcases RIIZE’s signature unrestrained energy and confident charisma.
Diverse Tracks on “II”
The album features a total of six tracks, including the title song ‘Do Your Dance (두 유어 댄스)’, ‘SOAR (소어)’, ‘D-D-Done (디-디-던)’, ‘Overdrive (오버드라이브)’, ‘Like a Bomb (라이크 어 밤)’, and ‘In a Loop (인 어 룹)’, offering a rich variety of genres.
Title Track “Do Your Dance”
‘Do Your Dance’ is an upbeat dance track that masterfully blends a solid hip-hop beat with electronic pop sounds. The song immediately captivates with its powerful distorted 808 bass, creating an impactful atmosphere. The stark contrast between the intense bass and the coolly repetitive chorus leaves a deep impression. The lyrics are brought to life through pointing choreography and signature hand gestures, expected to fully capture the attention of global music fans.
Pre-Release Activities and Music Video
Ahead of the official music release, RIIZE has been engaging closely with their global fanbase, building anticipation for their comeback. On June 15th at 4:30 PM, a commemorative countdown live broadcast was held on RIIZE’s official YouTube and TikTok channels. This was followed by the release of all songs from their second mini-album on music sites at 6 PM, alongside the music video for the title track on the YouTube SMTOWN channel.
The music video is anticipated to highlight RIIZE’s greatest strength: their captivating performances, captured in a one-take style. This approach is expected to allow viewers to fully appreciate the dynamic charm of the song.

I think this album will remain in my memory as a time of fun and enjoyment, and I hope listeners feel the same.” Anton described II as “movement,” noting that as it’s RIIZE’s first album released in Korea this year, it signifies the start of their full-scale activities. He stated, “While previous albums focused on RIIZE’s growth and contemplation, this album showcases RIIZE in action, moving beyond contemplation. It feels like RIIZE’s journey to go higher and further has begun.” Eunseok likened II to “a kaleidoscope with diverse colors,” highlighting that each of the six songs has a different style, and it’s satisfying if fans can enjoy them in their preferred way.
About the Title Track “Do Your Dance”
Shotaro found ‘Do Your Dance’ to be “trendy from the first listen,” noting that both the performance and lyrics are fun. He pointed to Wonbin’s line, ‘Even if I hold back, a kiss doesn’t come, My youth,’ and his own part, ‘Break charts, break hearts, all this RIIZE on your feed,’ as examples of enjoyable elements. Eunseok recommended listening to the song when one needs to gain confidence or wants to forget their worries, stating it’s a song that “fits perfectly” for those moments. Sungchan highlighted the numerous “killing parts” in the performance, especially the moment before the chorus where they pause and nod their heads. He mentioned feeling a sense of accomplishment when they synchronized well during practice and expects it to leave a strong impression on viewers. Wonbin added that the song embodies their “passion to overcome the hot summer,” with a catchy hook, ‘Head, hips, shoulders, toes,’ that will linger in listeners’ minds. He also believes the performance, showcasing RIIZE’s specialty, will keep viewers wanting more. Sohee reiterated the keyword “enjoyment,” encouraging listeners not to over-analyze the lyrics but simply “feel and enjoy RIIZE.” Anton emphasized the lyric ‘Like a pro’ as the core of the song, describing it as a “mindset.” He believes that even those not professionals can embody this mindset by enjoying challenges and overcoming difficulties. He shared that preparing for the comeback taught him new things and boosted his confidence, which he hopes to impart to listeners.
Performance Highlights
When asked about impressive moments in the “Do Your Dance” performance, Wonbin noted the chorus choreography, which is more relaxed than their previous performances. “Usually, there’s no time for our feet to be on the ground during the chorus, but in ‘Do Your Dance,’ they’re on the ground for a moment. It’s about breathing and delivering the choreography with a sense of ease, which I think is very charming,” he explained. Shotaro praised Sohee’s choreography in the intro, specifically the line, “Y’all, scream!” finding it fresh and fitting for Sohee. He mentioned focusing on the vibe in the ‘Head, hips, shoulders, toes’ section and putting effort into the dance break. Sungchan pointed out Shotaro’s choreography during the dance break, calling it “genius” and believing no one else could perform it that way, suggesting it could be a “challenge” for other dancers. Eunseok found ‘Like a Bomb’ captivating from the first listen, appreciating its clear progression and melody, which aligns with his personal style. He anticipates it will be a popular track due to its more mainstream appeal compared to others. Sungchan’s absolute favorite is ‘D-D-Done,’ calling it his “all-time favorite” since the demo, and believes he will continue to listen to it for a long time. He described it as an “easy listening” track perfect for chilling anytime. Shotaro also favored ‘D-D-Done’ and ‘Overdrive,’ citing his love for house, R&B, and hip-hop, and feeling they are perfect for summer. He envisions performing ‘D-D-Done’ at festivals and ‘Overdrive’ in large concert venues.
Growth and Behind-the-Scenes Moments
Reflecting on their growth while working on this album, Sungchan noted that after completing their first world tour, he naturally felt growth and change. He paid more attention to how his vocalizations would fit the songs and performed while imagining being on stage. Anton observed that the members are more comfortable expressing their own thoughts and have a different mindset compared to their debut. He believes they’ve started to express their opinions more freely. He mentioned asking more questions during recording, like “Is it okay to do it this way?” and noted that Shotaro and Wonbin offered opinions on the performance. Regarding memorable behind-the-scenes moments, Anton recalled Shotaro participating in ‘Do Your Dance’ choreography practice despite an ankle injury, memorizing upper body movements together. Wonbin praised Anton for working on his personal trailer background music without sleep, even on the day of filming, and managing to perform well despite the exhaustion. Shotaro also commended Anton for his diverse acting ideas during the trailer shoot and his communication with the director.
Sources of Confidence
When asked about the source of RIIZE’s confidence, Shotaro emphasized “practice volume.” He also humorously added that “clothes are important” as they boost confidence, mentioning he gifted members outfits that suited them for ‘Do Your Dance’ practice. Eunseok agreed that confidence comes from “sufficient practice.” Sungchan attributed it to “BRIIZE’s reaction.” Wonbin concurred, stating that positive fan reactions make them more excited, and a well-executed hair, makeup, and styling also boosts their confidence. Sohee pointed to “the mirror,” explaining that they constantly check their reflection while dancing or monitoring, and without a mirror, their confidence drops. However, she quickly added, “On stage, BRIIZE is the mirror!” Anton stated that “the members” on stage provide him with confidence, their presence alone being enough.
Hopes for This Comeback
For this comeback, Shotaro hopes to hear, “These guys are cool.” Eunseok aims higher, stating, “Being called ‘cool’ is not enough anymore. I want to earn the title of ‘Stage Masters.'” Sungchan opted for a more direct approach: “I’ve worked hard, and we’ll show you what we’re really made of.” Wonbin wishes to hear, “RIIZE can do this too,” and “Their momentum is good,” adding that even non-fans would want to watch RIIZE’s performances. Sohee simply wants to hear, “Wow, RIIZE is so good on stage!” Anton’s aspiration is, “As expected from RIIZE.”

Shotaro sent a message to BRIIZE: “BRIIZE~ Let’s make RIIZE’s summer, RIIZE’s sea, together!” To his members, he said, “Members~ Let’s work a little harder, I’m relying on you.” Eunseok thanked BRIIZE for waiting and expressed hope to create many fun memories during this comeback, wishing his members “Fighting!” Sungchan conveyed his gratitude to BRIIZE, emphasizing that this is just the beginning and they should continue to enjoy it together.
