Super Junior’s LeeTeuk recently opened up about his pet dog Kung’s battle with heart disease, revealing the emotional toll of the ongoing recovery.
Gratitude to Fans Amid Nervous Wait
On May 9, LeeTeuk posted on his personal social media to thank supporters. He described the tension following Kung’s surgery at a Seoul heart hospital on April 28, stating, “I am grateful to many people who have shown concern. I felt even more nervous then, but that was the most intense period—even the whole family is nursing King Kung.”
Photos accompanying the post show LeeTeuk cradling his dog’s paw during a gentle walk, highlighting their close bond.
Positive Signs of Recovery
LeeTeuk provided reassurance on progress ahead of his May 16 performance. “The condition is gradually improving, so I’m watching closely with joy,” he shared. “The king is also recovering well inside.”
He added plans for follow-up care: “Today, I’ll visit another hospital to check vitals and get medication. Expect regular updates.”
Seeking Expert Advice
In a call for help, LeeTeuk asked, “If you know about canine heart disease and pulmonary edema, or a reliable veterinarian, please share.”
Fans responded with advice and encouragement, prompting LeeTeuk to publicly confirm Kung’s improving health status.
