Geely Holding Group, the parent company of premium electric vehicle brand Zeekr, has released s 2025 Sustainabily Report, outlining a strategic roadmap toward becoming a nature-posive enterprise. The report, published on International Day for Biological Diversy designated by the Uned Nations, details the group’s accelerated transion to electrification and s comprehensive carbon reduction framework.
Strong Growth in New Energy Vehicle Sales
In 2025, total group sales across all brands reached 4.12 million uns. Sales of new energy vehicles—including battery electric and plug-in hybrid models—jumped 58% year-over-year to 2.29 million uns, accounting for 56% of total sales. This performance propelled Geely Holding to eighth place in the global automotive group sales ranking.
Expanding Green Manufacturing Infrastructure
The group now operates 26 national-level eco-friendly factories, 13 zero-waste facilies, and 5 carbon-neutral plants. s subsidiary Geely Auto is focusing on transforming s production base into an environmentally sustainable system. The company has achieved a 100% renewable electricy usage rate across s manufacturing ses and reduced carbon emissions by 1.476 million tons throughout s supply chain.
Vehicle life-cycle carbon emissions per un have decreased by 25.5% compared to 2020 levels. Officials confirmed that the 2025 target of a 25% reduction in per-vehicle life-cycle carbon emissions was exceeded. The end-of-life vehicle material recovery and utilization rate reached 97.9%, while the overall vehicle average recyclabily rate stood at 98.3%, strengthening the group’s circular economy efforts.
Mobily Platform and Methanol Ecosystem
Geely’s ride-hailing platform CaoCao Mobily also contributed to carbon savings. In 2025, the service provided over 8.46 billion kilometers of rides, resulting in a reduction of more than 1.2 million tons of carbon emissions. The group is expanding s methanol ecosystem, having built over 1,000 Farizon methanol refueling stations across China. Methanol-electric technology is now being applied to other sectors such as marime transport.
Ambious Future Targets
Looking ahead, Geely Holding has set a goal to achieve 100% renewable electricy usage across all manufacturing operations by 2030. plans to reduce manufacturing carbon intensy per vehicle by more than 80% compared to 2022 levels. A key objective is to keep total operational emissions below 2022 levels even as sales volume grows, whout relying on carbon offsets.
