The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. in an apartment building in Jasin-dong, Seogu district. The suspect, identified only as A, stabbed resident B in the neck during an altercation inside the elevator. B succumbed to his injuries.
Apartment management received a distress call and notified police. Officers apprehended A in the act near the first-floor elevator entrance. During the confrontation, a security guard inflicted a leg wound on A, who remains in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.
