Student Assaulted in Cheonan Leads to Arrests
Authorities are investigating a severe assault case in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, where six high school students are accused of brutally attacking a fellow student. The Cheonan Seobuk Police Station has taken six individuals, identified as 17-year-old males, into custody on suspicion of joint assault and battery.
Details of the Incident Emerge
Reports indicate that the alleged assault occurred on the evening of May 18th. The suspects, including a student identified as ‘A’, reportedly beat another student, ‘B’, multiple times inside a karaoke establishment in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan. Following the incident at the karaoke venue, the group allegedly moved to a nearby parking lot to continue the assault.
Victim Suffers Serious Injuries
The victim, ‘B’, sustained significant head injuries and required immediate emergency surgery. Sources confirm that ‘B’ has since been discharged from the hospital and is currently receiving ongoing treatment.
Investigation and Legal Action
Police have stated that arrest warrants have been requested for three of the suspects who are believed to have played a leading or active role in the violent incident.
