Two key operators of the illegal adult video site AVMOV, which circulates non-consensual recordings of family members and romantic partners, face arrest upon entering South Korea.
Airport Detention
Authorities at Incheon International Airport detained the suspects, identified as A and another individual, early on May 11. They were subject to arrest warrants related to violations of the Sexual Violence Prevention and Punishment Act, stemming from content exploitation investigations.
Following self-surrender to investigators, the pair had fled to Taiwan. They returned voluntarily and underwent questioning upon arrival. Officials note that extradition efforts and external pressure prompted their re-entry, leading to their capture.
Investigation Insights
Raids targeted AVMOV’s operations, involving nine employees. Forensic analysis of five seized PCs and communication devices uncovered critical evidence. One additional staff member remains at large overseas, with pursuits involving international agencies underway.
Monitoring efforts since December 2025 exposed the platform, resulting in server seizures.
Platform Background
Launched in August 2022, AVMOV amassed 5.4 million users by promoting explicit videos sourced from private recordings of relatives, partners, and others. Users accessed and shared prohibited revenge porn materials disguised as consensual content.
The site now stands suspended amid ongoing probes into its distribution network.
