Law firm Kwangjang unveiled its restructured Management Rights Dispute Center on the 15th, expanding operations through a major merger of existing divisions.
Strategic Merger for Enhanced Capabilities
The center combines the Jeong Da-ju division, with 31 staff members focused on big data and Supreme Court administration data, and the Lee Se-joong division, comprising 32 members. This integration bolsters services for financial sector disputes, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for conglomerates, management rights analysis, and stock market trend responses.
Sources confirm the Jeong Da-ju team has managed high-profile clients such as SM Entertainment and Hankook Kolmar, addressing complex corporate anxieties through comprehensive legal strategies.
Team Structure and Leadership
The new center features a Management Rights Analysis Team, led by Jang Yi-jun (39th class), which evaluates overall corporate economic power in competitive scenarios. It also includes a Shareholder Activism Response Team, handling funds, small- and medium-cap stocks, and broader market dynamics.
Kim Yoo-seok (37th class) from the corporate advisory group heads the team tackling corporate strategy concerns. Officials emphasize that services extend beyond individual transactions to full-spectrum consulting on business expansions and capital market trends.
Director’s Vision
Jeong Da-ju stated, “Kwangjang’s greatest strength lies in the complete collaboration among its transformation lawyers.” He added, “This initiative delivers greater momentum to management rights analysts, shareholder activism specialists, ESG teams, and others by adopting the ‘Management Rights Dispute Center’ name to signal decisive evolution.”
