Broadcaster Yu Byung-jae Discusses Significant Financial Strain
Broadcaster Yu Byung-jae has candidly disclosed his challenging financial situation, revealing a substantial amount of money he has lent out and has yet to recover. The disclosure occurred during a recent YouTube video featuring fellow personalities Kim Min-kyung and Kim Gan-ji.
A Moment of Unexpected Revelation
The content, uploaded on the ‘Yu Byung-jae’ YouTube channel on the 16th, took an unexpected turn during a conversation about friendship-themed items. As Kim Gan-ji and Kim Min-kyung made various requests related to these items, Yu Byung-jae displayed a hesitant expression, agreeing to fulfill them, indicating a difficulty in refusing requests.
When Kim Min-kyung questioned if his reluctance stemmed from an inability to say no, Yu Byung-jae confirmed this. Kim Min-kyung then playfully remarked about military pay, eliciting laughter from those present. However, the mood soon shifted to a more serious tone.
The Shocking Debt Figure
Yu Byung-jae then shared the startling revelation: “I genuinely struggle to refuse, and my debt is 700 million won. That’s the amount of money I’ve lent out and haven’t received back.” This unexpected statement momentarily stunned those around him.
Kim Gan-ji responded with a humorous remark, suggesting Yu Byung-jae’s unrecovered funds could reach 800 million won, once again breaking the tension with laughter.
Past References to Lending Issues
This is not the first time Yu Byung-jae has spoken about issues related to lending money to acquaintances. Earlier in 2024, through his own channel, he expressed his distress, stating, “I need to get this off my chest. Of the many people who borrowed 700 million won from me, most of them don’t even know how much they borrowed.” He added, with a sense of melancholy, “You all think I’m laughing, don’t you? This isn’t laughter.””
Currently, Yu Byung-jae is publicly known to be in a relationship with influencer Yoo Jeong, who gained fame from the reality show ‘Love Catcher 4’.
