The fourth annual Hanwha Eagles vs. University Stars Home Run Derby competition took place on June 8th at Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park. This exhibition event showcased a thrilling contest between two distinct teams, highlighting emerging talent and established stars.

Team Lineups and Leadership

The ‘Eagles All-Stars’ team was managed by Jeong Yun-jin, who also leads the U-18 national youth team. Opposing them, the ‘University All-Stars’ were captained by Lee Yeon-su, the head coach of Sungkyunkwan University’s U-23 representative team.

Players for both squads were selected through a consensus among scout team leaders from the ten professional baseball clubs. This collaborative approach ensured a high caliber of talent was on display.
