Yang Chi-seung, a former fitness trainer and media personality, has embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey, opening a salad bread shop in the bustling Gangnam area. The establishment officially welcomed its first customers on June 19th.
Grand Opening Buzz and Customer Gratitude
Yang Chi-seung shared the exciting news of the opening via his social media channels, accompanied by a short video. In the footage, he is seen wearing a hairnet and mask, actively explaining menu items within the shop. He described the scene as busy, stating, “We opened today and are currently distributing food. Some items have sold out quickly, so we are continuously making more.”
Expressing his appreciation for the overwhelming turnout, Yang Chi-seung conveyed his thanks directly to the patrons. “So many people have come to visit since we opened. I will work hard. Thank you,” he stated, his cheerful demeanor evident despite the day’s demands.
Anticipation and Unique Menu Offerings
Prior to the opening, on June 18th, Yang Chi-seung had teased the launch, revealing the name of his venture: “Yang Chi-seung’s Salad Club.” He explained that many had inquired about “OOO Club,” and he was finally ready to unveil it. He highlighted the meticulous preparation that went into the menu, particularly the protein content of the dishes. “After tasting many, and making countless adjustments, I am confident in the deliciousness and high protein content of our salad bread,” he remarked, expressing his eagerness for the June 19th opening in Gangnam.
A History of Entrepreneurial Pursuits
Yang Chi-seung has consistently voiced his aspirations in the food industry across various broadcast appearances. Notably, he previously operated a tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) restaurant in 2021.
The entrepreneur also faced significant challenges in the past, having reportedly suffered substantial financial losses amounting to approximately 1.5 billion won, which led to the closure of his fitness center. More recently, he garnered attention for securing a position as an executive in a community-related company, working from a high-end apartment complex.
