Vice President Mike Pence suggested that former President Donald Trump might attend a forthcoming ceasefire ceremony.
In a recent interview, Vice President Pence indicated that while he is scheduled to attend a significant ceasefire event, the possibility of President Trump’s direct participation is also being considered.
Details of the Ceasefire Agreement
The announcement follows reports that an agreement for a permanent cessation of hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon, has been reached by two nations. A formal signing ceremony is reportedly scheduled for the 19th in Switzerland.
President Trump, who celebrated his 80th birthday on the day these statements were made, is slated to depart for France on the 15th to attend the G7 summit, which will run for four days. Given the ceasefire ceremony’s scheduled date in Europe, a direct diversion to Switzerland by President Trump is a plausible scenario.
Vice President Pence commented, “I believe they are still coordinating the detailed schedule regarding who will attend the signing ceremony.” Observations of Vice President Pence’s vehicle convoy moving near the White House were made later that day.
