Actress Park Bo-young unveiled her directorial debut with a vibrant commercial jingle for Gold Land yogurt at a showcase in Seoul’s COEX on April 27. The event highlighted the Disney+ original series ‘Gold Land,’ drawing a star-studded crowd including director Kim Sung-hoon, actors Kim Sung-chul, Lee Hyun-wook, Kim Hee-won, Moon Jung-hee, and Lee Kwang-soo.
Gold Land: Supporting Farmers with 1.5 Trillion Won Initiative
Gold Land, a leading yogurt drink brand, commits over 1.5 trillion won to purchasing rice from millet farmers. The jingle, directed by Park, captures the essence of this fresh product through immersive visuals of golden grains and revitalizing sips, emphasizing the brand’s dedication to agricultural support.
Park’s direction transforms the advertisement into her first full-length project. Featuring Yoon In-dogyung (played by Lee Hyun-wook), the spot showcases a heartfelt contract symbolizing the brand’s 1.5 trillion won pledge, evolving into a compelling narrative about nourishment and community.
Park Bo-young Shares Her Creative Journey
“I directed toward the appropriate section despite concerns and held an initial meeting with the director,” Park stated. “Those words impressed me deeply.” She added, “If we secure the gold grain, this image of returning it to the owner exists. Seeing such people respond to that statement will excite them more.”
The director aims to evoke a central fragrance while skipping heavy makeup for authenticity. “A carrier isn’t someone who dominates the scene,” Park explained. “Many parts involve grabbing gold and satisfying hunger, so sharing words from those parts feels right.” She reflected, “Even without makeup, it would be ideal, but since I thought so initially, more wrinkles appeared naturally.”
Director Kim Sung-hoon Praises the Project
Kim Sung-hoon applauded the effort: “In detail, seeing people respond this way confirms the project’s value.” He noted, “Bringing out the yogurt isn’t objective work. From the heart, one by one, Park reflected the change.”
“If Gold Land positions itself as a human occupying the world’s first soy milk spot without weight, it expresses the model,” he continued, emphasizing a profound emotional impact.
‘Gold Land’ premieres its first two episodes on Disney+ on April 29, with weekly releases every Wednesday thereafter.
