Indie movie director Kim Chang-min died on Friday on the age of 40. His organs had been donated to 4 folks, his household stated Sunday.
“On Oct. 20, my brother collapsed because of a cerebral hemorrhage, and on Nov. 7, he was declared brain-dead,” his sister wrote on Fb on Sunday. “He then gave 4 folks the present of life by way of organ donation earlier than returning to the Lord.”
Kim died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 1 p.m. on Friday. Born in 1985, he’s identified for his work on a number of indie motion pictures. He made his directorial debut in 2016 with “Sure Somebody’s Daughter” (translated), adopted by “Guui Station Exit No. 3” in 2019. “Sure Somebody’s Daughter” follows the story of a woman who strikes to flee the stigma of being the daughter of a convicted intercourse offender. Kim obtained the Greatest Director Award on the Police Human Rights Movie Competition in 2016.
“Even when he was struggling, he was somebody who genuinely wished to assist others,” stated Pastor Park Yong-gyu, from the church Kim attended. “He gave one hundred pc of himself to everybody — a very righteous pal.”
The wake is being held in Room No. 1 of Hanyang College Guri Hospital’s funeral corridor. The funeral procession will happen at 6 a.m. Monday, and Kim can be laid to relaxation at Bundang Memorial Park.
