KT Wiz supporters flooded Gwangju Champions Field, delivering nonstop cheers during the May 2-3 series against the KIA Tigers. Despite facing the league’s top-ranked team, the fans asserted their dominance, highlighted by a special home run promotion.
Second Away Fan Event Delivers Big Prizes
The club organized its Marble Company fan event for the second time on the road, following a debut in Incheon against the SSG Landers on April 25. The first installment featured captain Jang Sung-woo, whose home run triggered prizes.
In Gwangju, outfielder Kim Hyun-soo launched a home run that unlocked major rewards, including a snack truck and round-trip chartered bus for fans. Additional perks encompassed participation commemorative medals and other gifts. The event drew 590 attendees on day one and 90 on day two, surpassing targets and fueling the KT cheering section.
Participating fans enjoyed 20% discounts at the team store, complimentary special drinks post-game, and photo cards from the winners’ ride.
Stars Praise Unwavering Fan Support
KT officials expressed gratitude, stating, “Fans traveling from Suwon and beyond to away games receive these events as a token of our sincerity.”
Kim Hyun-soo shared, “Fans coming from afar to cheer make me stronger. Every gathering brings big hope, and even small groups warm the heart. We aim for a winning series so fans enjoy fun, engaging games. Thank you to supporters everywhere for creating such an electric atmosphere again.”
