The change occurred after 2 p.m., following a 40-minute session at the Daegu headquarters with Park Geun-hye’s nationwide support organizer. Yoon’s Daegu city party chair and Gyeongbuk provincial chair also participated.
Reasons Behind the Prediction Shift
Choo Kyung-ho explained the decision, stating, “Even as a full nationwide effort, voter sentiment remains solid. This approach feels right, so we are moving forward with it.”
Post-update, Choo emphasized, “The greatest shift domestically and internationally is maintaining party vote integrity. With Yoon at the center of mayoral races, we must strengthen his influence.” He added that Park’s full nationwide remarks were “deeply embraced,” urging a return to selling the candidate system through Park while appealing to voters.
Choo further noted, “Park’s words resonated profoundly, restoring the candidate framework under her guidance and selling it effectively to voters.”

Campaign officials reported strong reception, with Choo revealing, “We conveyed substantial election details to Daegu and Gyeongbuk officials. Many supporters feel confident, responding ‘we’re on track’ when asked about our momentum.”
Concerns persist over Park Jeong-hui’s nationwide support drive in Gyeongbuk, though no direct link exists to National Assembly incumbent Lee Jin-seok’s voter base or full backing from his party chair.
