Singer Seo In-Young has transformed her physique, shedding 15kg through a rigorous diet that eliminated carbohydrates for seven months. She revealed her journey on the recent episode of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’.
Shocking Footage Sparks Weight Loss Decision
Seo In-Young became determined to slim down after viewing old footage showing significant central weight gain during her career peak. ‘That was way too much,’ she admitted. ‘I was half-dead from eating meat and rice, so I starved myself to drop the pounds.’
The sight of fans capturing screenshots of her heavier frame pushed her further. ‘Seeing kids save that image made me think, “Did I really live like that?” I knew it was time for a serious diet,’ she explained.
Rapid Results and Gym Commitment
She quickly lost around 10kg and committed to gym sessions, achieving a total reduction of 15kg. Comparing her past 38kg frame to now filled her with quiet satisfaction, even shedding tears at the visible difference.
‘I was horrified by my own fatty, half-rotten body,’ Seo In-Young confessed.
Inspiration from Celebrity Habits
Drawing motivation from actress Jun Ji-hyun’s routine, she shared, ‘Jun Ji-hyun started somewhere with one small habit a day from the thinnest things. I decided to try that too.’
Key Diet Rules
Her regimen included skipping meat entirely after saunas, questioning, ‘Can you eat even after two hours without guilt?’ She avoided rice-based carbs for seven straight months, now allowing just half portions. ‘I haven’t touched rice carbs in seven months. These days, I eat half rice,’ she noted proudly.
Exercise remains minimal: three normal meals daily and sweet potatoes for sleep aids. ‘Eat like regular people three times a day, and sweet potatoes for sleeping well,’ she advised.
Embracing her new form, Seo In-Young declared, ‘This is my first national body look. Even I have a national body now. I love being national body.’
