A shocking case of filial betrayal has stunned residents in Delhi, India, where a 21-year-old man and two accomplices robbed his own father after first scamming him out of roughly 1 million rupees (approximately $12,000) to fund purchases of merchandise tied to South Korean celebrity Yoo Hyung-bi and luxury goods.
Brazen Daylight Robbery
Masked assailants on a motorcycle trailed the father, who was riding another motorcycle, on the 31st of last month (local time). They executed the robbery with one accomplice firing two shots into the air to instill terror and ensure compliance.
Police Crack the Case with CCTV Analysis
Officers launched an immediate investigation, poring over footage from more than 200 CCTV cameras across the local area. This effort quickly pinpointed the primary suspect as the victim’s son through clear visual identification.
The young man attempted to escape to a neighboring region, while his two partners fled the scene. However, investigators tracked their movements and apprehended the accomplices near a tollgate.
Authorities recovered the cash looted during the heist along with the getaway motorcycle. They continue to trace the source of the firearm used in the crime.
Suspects Have Clean Records
Police stated, “All suspects had no prior criminal records, and further investigation is underway.”
