Actress Lee Yeon-hee shared her intentions for a second child during a recent appearance on SBS’s ‘My Little Old Boy,’ where she served as a special MC.
Balancing Family and Career
Lee Yeon-hee discussed her family dynamics with host Shin Dong-yeop, explaining her approach to child spacing. She emphasized the importance of balance, stating, “If we had only one child, I’d worry about my husband encountering too many temptations outside. Proper spacing allows us to focus on family and direct our efforts effectively.”
Friends frequently inquire about plans for more children, to which she responds positively: “I like the idea of having several kids.”
Reasons for 3-Year Spacing
Detailing her decision on timing, Lee Yeon-hee revealed, “I want to have children until I’m completely exhausted, just like my mother experienced. Growing up in a family with one boy and three girls showed me how challenging it can be, so I’m opting for a three-year gap instead.” Shin Dong-yeop praised her perspective, calling it “spot on” and applauding enthusiastically.
Husband’s Enthusiastic Support
Commentator Seo Jang-hoon noted Lee Yeon-hee’s husband’s excitement over her TV appearances. “Before her debut on ‘Music Love,’ he remarked that she brought vibrancy to everyday life and called her ‘cool.’ Fans have echoed similar sentiments.”
Lee Yeon-hee added that her husband’s fan club members express joy, saying, “My happiness has increased because of her.” Seo Jang-hoon admitted initial skepticism about the depth of her husband’s admiration but now fully believes it. Lee Yeon-hee affirmed, “Even from an objective view, that’s accurate.”
Lee Yeon-hee and her husband welcomed their first daughter in early 2024, following their marriage in February 2020.
