A construction worker in his 60s suffered a fatal electrocution while installing a drainage pump on a rooftop at an apartment building site in Yongin City’s Cheoin-gu district.
The accident took place around 2:04 p.m. on April 17 at the Kyungnam Honorsville apartment complex. The victim, referred to as Mr. A, fell from the rooftop, arrived at the hospital in cardiac arrest, and later passed away despite medical efforts.
Incident Circumstances
Mr. A was tasked with setting up a pump to remove accumulated rainwater from the rooftop when the mishap occurred. Preliminary findings point to electrocution as the cause, which led to his fall.

Authorities from Yongin Dongbu Police Station have launched a detailed inquiry. An autopsy will determine the precise cause of death, while interviews with site personnel continue. Officials emphasize strict enforcement against any safety protocol breaches.
