NewJeans member Minji, recently photographed in London on social media, appears to have returned to Korea, according to multiple eyewitness accounts circulating online.
Eyewitness Sightings Fuel Speculation
One observer near a popular area reported seeing two individuals resembling Koreans in the morning. They described the pair as Minji and her manager enjoying pancakes. “Eyes and mouth looked strikingly similar, but the mole’s position differed slightly, preventing a full confirmation,” the witness noted. They added, “The person nearby called out ‘Kim,’ which raised suspicions.” The observer regretted not approaching closer: “If it truly was Minji, it would have been great to verify.”
Despite wearing a half-mask for COVID precautions along with a hoodie, the resemblance sparked debate. Online communities buzz with fan reactions, questioning if the figure matches Minji.
Additional reports emerged from Jinan-dong, where someone spotted a group member exiting a hotel and snapped a photo but chose not to share it publicly out of caution. Another account praised the individual’s healthy appearance but suggested, “She looks good but could use more makeup to appear bolder.”
Group Activities and Member Status
NewJeans recently hosted intimate fan signings through their agency and larger-scale events. However, amid exclusive contract concerns raised earlier, the label covered vaccination costs. Following this, Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni completed their shots.
Minji, meanwhile, has stepped back from promotions after a key event, with discussions ongoing about her future involvement. Danielle, on the other hand, departed the team following a contract termination notice.
Min Heejin’s Court Victory
Former agency executive Min Heejin, often called the “NewJeans mom,” secured partial wins in two civil lawsuits against HYBE, marking a significant development in ongoing disputes.
