Korea’s Air Power will participate in an annual U.S.-led humanitarian operation beginning subsequent week to ship drugs and different primary requirements to distant Pacific islands forward of the Christmas season, army officers stated Tuesday.
Operation Christmas Drop, hosted by the U.S. Pacific Air Forces, is scheduled to happen from Dec. 7-14 to ship drugs, garments and day by day requirements to residents of Micronesia.
This 12 months, Korea will be a part of the operation with Canada and Japan, with its Air Power mobilizing some 30 personnel and one C-130 transport airplane. The reduction provides can be connected to parachutes and dropped from an altitude of some 60 meters.
The staff will depart from the Air Power’s fifth Air Mobility Wing, based mostly at Gimhae Worldwide Airport within the southeastern metropolis of Busan, later within the day and return dwelling on Dec. 16.
