Stray Kids has claimed second place on the 2025 Global Artist Chart from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), becoming the only K-pop group in the top 10 rankings.
The eight-member group—Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N—surpassed major international artists to achieve this milestone. Officials confirmed the news on February 19.
Understanding the IFPI Global Artist Chart
The IFPI compiles rankings from data across more than 8,000 record labels worldwide. Metrics include physical album sales, digital downloads, and streaming consumption to reflect true global popularity.
Stray Kids’ Impressive Climb
Stray Kids debuted in the chart’s top 10 at No. 7 in 2022. Four years later, the group now holds the runner-up position behind Taylor Swift, who secured No. 1 for the sixth time overall and fourth straight year since 2022.
This feat places Stray Kids alongside global heavyweights like Drake, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny. Among K-pop acts, SEVENTEEN follows at No. 14.
Continued Momentum with Major Events
Stray Kids sustains its rise through preparations for a major album release this year. The group headlines The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 6 and Rock in Rio in Brazil on September 11.
