US President Donald Trump declared on March 13 that he will intensify pressure on Iran starting next week to accelerate stalled negotiations.
Response to Nuclear Talks Impasse
During a recent television interview, Trump addressed the current deadlock in nuclear discussions. He emphasized that Iran must halt its cooperation with the Houthis and associated activities, warning that no nation would offer assistance otherwise.
“No country will step in to help if they persist,” Trump stated. He cautioned, however, that officials must assess whether conditions improve after issuing the right signal.
Firm Stance on Truth Social
The surprise interview underscored Trump’s resolute position. On his Truth Social platform, he described Iran as the “real bad guys” and asserted, “What happened today is just the beginning.”
Trump added, “Iran has killed people across the world for 47 straight years. As the 47th US President, I am taking them down.”
