Investigators suspect all individuals who contacted a 21-year-old woman accused of murdering two men in their 20s through drug-laced drinks could be accomplices in the Gangbuk serial killings. Police launched a comprehensive review of such contacts, mirroring patterns observed with known victims.
Case Details Emerge
The suspect, identified as Kim Mo, faces charges for the murders. Authorities arrested her on January 19 following evidence of hallucinogenic substances mixed into alcohol served to the victims.
Analysis indicates Kim targeted the men similarly since December, luring approximately three others in their 20s to the same location with tainted beverages. No additional victims have surfaced yet.
Key Incident Timeline
On January 28 at around 9:20 p.m., Kim entered a motel room in Seoul’s Gangbuk-gu Suyu-dong with a Venezuelan DJ. She provided him with alcohol containing drugs from a source known as Suku Haiso, then departed. Shortly after, she sent a message stating, “I was so drunk that I fell asleep right away and don’t remember coming out.”
Investigators from the Seoul Gangbuk Police Station now scrutinize everyone who reached out to Kim using comparable methods, viewing them as potential accomplices.
Ongoing Evaluations
Police conducted a psychiatric examination on Kim at the National Center for Mental Health in Jinan, Seoul Yeonhyu. Results are expected later this week, shedding further light on her actions.
