Police on Wednesday raided two workplaces of KT, the nation’s second-largest cell service, over the corporate’s alleged concealment of proof associated to a hacking incident earlier this 12 months.
Investigators from Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police executed search and seizure warrants on the workplaces in Pangyo, Seongnam, and Bangbae in southern Seoul.
The raids come after the science ministry referred the corporate to the police over suspicions it shut down servers within the wake of a reported cyberattack on its website for distant buyer inspections.
Police have reportedly booked the corporate’s head of information safety on suspicions of obstruction of justice.
