Comedian Park Se-mi shared hilarious stories about her short stature during a recent appearance on fellow comedian Lee Young-jin’s YouTube channel. The episode, titled ’38th Park Se-mi Jjolong Party 2,’ features Park alongside Shin Gi-ru and others in lighthearted banter.
Height Banter Steals the Show
As Park Se-mi stood up to grab a coffee, Lee Young-jin burst into laughter, commenting on her proportions. ‘Your body proportions look off since you suddenly stood up,’ the host remarked. He then turned to guest Kim Ji-yu, recalling a past funny moment: ‘You said something like, “Even weird proportions are fine.”‘
Park Se-mi quickly fired back, ‘That’s because I’ve been short since birth.’ When pressed about her exact height, she revealed, ‘I’m not even in the early 160cm range—I’m in the early 150cm range.’ She added that most performers on Baekma TV share similar builds, explaining, ‘When we stand up, our proportions just look strange.’
More Comedy Gold from the Guests
The group kept the laughs coming. Park joked about colleague Jinju, saying, ‘Even her feet are this small,’ while gesturing to lighten the mood. Lee Young-jin asked Shin Gi-ru if he found any couples with enviable features despite such traits. Shin quipped, ‘Head size?’ before adding, ‘If a head that size were on my body, it’d look like King Kong.’
Shin Gi-ru praised Park, calling her his favorite high-energy type. ‘She has such high tension that I felt a hangover the next day,’ he said. He also noted, ‘Park Se-mi is the style I adore. She usually drains my energy like a shaman, but today she looks prettier and a bit intimidating.’
Lee Young-jin chimed in, surprised by her height too: ‘I was shocked as well. Don’t you get a lot of skincare treatments?’ Park responded, ‘I do facial massages, but even when it hurts, I don’t complain. Once, I heard a spinning sound during the session, but since it evens out my height, I endure it.’
Born in 1990, Park Se-mi continues to thrive as a comedian through live performances and online content.
