CJ Olive Young establishes its first U.S. logistics base, dubbed the ‘U.S. Service Center,’ in Bloomington, California. This move positions the company ahead of its North American market entry, supporting K-beauty product distribution through Olive Young channels.
Facility Specifications and Operations
The center spans approximately 3,600 square meters (1,100 pyeong) and functions as a comprehensive logistics hub. It handles procurement, warehousing, and distribution for K-beauty items destined for North American retail outlets. Olive Young directly and indirectly manages the full spectrum of local logistics, easing operational burdens for partner brands.
For brands lacking in-house delivery infrastructure, the facility provides support for marketing fixtures, display setups, and other non-product shipments. This end-to-end (E2E) service extends to major retailers like Sephora’s in-store ‘K-Beauty Zones,’ ensuring seamless supply chain integration.
Expansion Plans and Adaptability
Olive Young plans to scale the facility’s capacity through partnerships with large wholesalers. To address evolving local demands, the company focuses on expanding logistics networks in key North American regions rather than building additional factories. This strategy aims to fortify the overall retail presence.
Executive Insights
A company spokesperson states, “We have built a core logistics network capable of stably meeting K-beauty demand as store openings approach next month.” The executive adds, “Leveraging this foundation, we will enhance local retail competitiveness while actively supporting promising K-beauty brands’ North American market entry.”
