Significant Price Reductions in Key Markets
The G6 series sees major discounts compared to the previous year’s models. On the official LG online brand shop, the 55-inch G6 model now lists at 3,689,000 KRW, down roughly 310,000 KRW from the prior G5’s 4,000,000 KRW. The 65-inch version drops to 5,188,000 KRW from 5,300,000 KRW, while the 77-inch stands at 11,388,000 KRW and the 97-inch at 50,384,000 KRW.
The 83-inch model started higher but anticipates further reductions post-launch. Competing C6 series models also feature aggressive pricing: 48-inch at 2,190,000 KRW, 55-inch at 2,790,000 KRW, 65-inch at 3,790,000 KRW, and 77-inch at 6,190,000 KRW.
Global Pricing Strategy
In the US market, G6 pricing mirrors domestic adjustments, wh the 55-inch at $2,499.99 (approximately 3,756,000 KRW) and 65-inch at $3,399.99 (about 5,108,000 KRW). European markets apply reductions across most sizes, from 48-inch to 97-inch.
Year-over-year, the G6 83-inch model drops 25%, while C6 and B6 83-inch versions fall 31.5%. Across the entire OLED lineup, average prices decline by 11.9%.
Market Pressures from Chinese Brands
Despe Chinese firms like TCL (13.1% revenue share) and Hisense (10.9%) dominating the top spots in the 2025 TV market, LG holds second place at 15.2%. Officials state, “New OLED TV launch prices remain reasonable and competive. Addional promotions could drive even steeper drops.”
LG maintains stable pricing amid rising material and production costs through innovations like integrated single-wafer processing, which curbs expenses.
