Lee Jung-hyun, chairman of the People Power Party’s nomination management committee, returned to his duties on the 15th, marking a swift reversal just two days after his initial resignation announcement.

On the 13th, Lee announced his decision to step down, stating that he deemed it challenging to further promote changes and greater devotion within the nomination process.
Reasons for Resuming Duties
In a statement issued that day, Lee revealed that spokesperson Jang Dong-hyuk had approached him the previous day, urging him to “complete the nomination devotion” and granting full authority over all nomination-related matters.
“I accepted this authority as a heavy responsibility and, without hesitation, will take up the nomination management committee chairmanship once more,” Lee declared. “I alone will shoulder all accountability for the results.”
