The Korean crime thriller “As You Stood By” has climbed to the highest of Netflix’s weekly non-English collection chart, the streaming large mentioned Wednesday.
The collection, which premiered on Nov. 7, initially entered the rating at No. 8, however rose to the highest place throughout Nov. 11-16, attracting 7.8 million views.
Primarily based on Japanese author Hideo Okuda’s 2014 novel “Naomi and Kanako,” the eight-episode collection follows two buddies, Eun-su (Jeon So-nee) and Hui-su (Lee You-mi), as they make a fateful resolution of their determined try to flee dire circumstances.
Upon studying Hui-su is trapped in an abusive marriage, Eun-su suggests they work collectively to kill Jin-pyo (Jang Seung-jo), Hui-su’s menacing husband.
In the meantime, two different Korean collection made it into the highest 10, with romantic drama “Dynamite Kiss” touchdown at No.3 and competitors present “Bodily: Asia” claiming No. 8.
