(G)I-DLE’s Chinese member Yuqi marks a remarkable milestone as her digital single ‘Radio (Dum-Dum)’ secures the top 10 spot on Tencent Music Entertainment’s (TME) leading Chinese chart for 52 consecutive weeks.
Released on March 17, the track surged to No. 6 on the chart as of March 23, demonstrating sustained popularity among listeners.
Song’s Emotional Appeal and Achievements
‘Radio (Dum-Dum)’ features Yuqi’s self-composed lyrics that vividly capture the pain of lost love through a radio metaphor. Initially premiered as a solo stage during (G)I-DLE’s 2024 world tour, the song quickly topped QQ Music’s bestseller album rankings and claimed the No. 1 position on the overall chart.
Tencent Music’s Recognition
TME has honored Yuqi as one of the ‘2026 Women of the Year in Music,’ praising her as “the greatest female singer-songwriter who shows new energy from Korea and China.”
Recent Global Performances
Yuqi recently took the stage at Chicago’s Grant Park for Lollapalooza on July 31 (local time). She also delivered special performances of ‘Mono (Feat. skaiwater)’ on U.S. NBC’s ‘Today Show’ and ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ captivating top celebrities and dominating charts in August.
(G)I-DLE’s World Tour Momentum
(G)I-DLE launched their second world tour, ‘2026 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [Syncopation],’ with sold-out shows in Seoul starting last February. Achieving the highest ticket sales among K-pop groups, the tour extended to the 21st due to overwhelming demand, with global encore performances underway.
