Jeon Hyun-moo caught up with longtime friend Park Ji-yoon, who has called Jeju Island home for six years, during the latest episode of MBN’s mockumentary series “Jeon Hyun-moo Revolution 3,” broadcast on the 13th. Joined by Kwak Jun-bin, the group explored the distinctive traits of Jeju locals.
Remarriage Speculation Sparks
Addressing the notion of ‘fate’ on the island, Jeon Hyun-moo shared, “I’ve resided on Jeju for many years myself, with numerous other Chinese connections.” He hinted further, “That rumor holds truth—my wife lives there too.”
His warm remarks prompted speculation that Jeon may have subtly confirmed his remarriage. Jeon responded directly: “I knew about it, but I’m not one to divulge secrets.”
He added, “It’s a straightforward hint. My sentiments run shallow. Nothing compares to this—it’s entirely natural.”
Park Ji-yoon’s Background
Park Ji-yoon entered KBS as an announcer via the 30th public recruitment in 2004. Following her freelance declaration in 2008 and diverse career pursuits, she married colleague announcer Choi Dong-seok in 2009. The couple shares one son and one daughter.
Park has lived on Jeju for the ensuing six years. That same year, 2009, Choi filed a defamation suit against her, leading to a one-year suspended sentence, later overturned in 2023.
The pair now navigates divorce proceedings. Park retains custody and parental rights, while Choi, a former teacher, meets the children through supervised visitation sessions.
