South Korean authorities confirm a chartered Etihad Airways flight carrying 290 nationals will depart Abu Dhabi at noon local time on August 8, amid intensified evacuation operations.
Priority Evacuation Underway
Rescue efforts accelerate as officials conduct surveys at the United Arab Emirates embassy to identify citizens needing assistance following a major incident. Priority goes to key returnees, injured individuals, embassy staff, government officials, elderly residents, businesspeople, reporters, and accompanying Filipinos.
“We plan to actively survey our citizens remaining in the UAE for rescue needs,” officials stated. “Urgent selection and dispatch will cover these priority groups.”
Coordinated Rescues Planned
Non-essential embassy personnel from the dispatch team, now heading to other countries, will receive organized support as victims of the situation. These measures ensure safe and efficient evacuations for all affected nationals.
