Pakistan’s navy is tightening its grip on the nation with sweeping authorized modifications that critics say are centralizing energy within the fingers of military chief Gen. Syed Asim Munir.
Munir, Pakistan’s former spy chief, was appointed by the federal government this month to be the nation’s chief of all protection forces, a newly created place that offers him extra energy than any Pakistani navy official since Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s navy dictatorship resulted in 2008.
