North Korean chief Kim Jong-un has stated South Korea’s plan to construct nuclear-powered submarines will “worsen the instability” within the area, calling Seoul’s transfer a risk to the North’s nationwide safety, in response to state media Thursday.
Kim made the remarks throughout an on-site inspection of an 8,700-ton nuclear-powered strategic guided missile submarine underneath development, the Korean Central Information Company (KCNA) stated.
The North Korean chief referred to Seoul’s plan to construct nuclear-powered submarines, saying it “will worsen the instability within the area of the Korean Peninsula … (and) DPRK regards it as an offensive act severely violating its safety and maritime sovereignty.”
DPRK refers back to the official identify of North Korea, the Democratic Individuals’s Republic of Korea.
