A Four-Year Hiatus Concludes
This comeback signifies Park Se-young’s return to drama acting approximately four years after her appearance in the 2022 tvN series ‘Mental Coach Jegal Gil.’ The new project holds particular significance as it is her first role since her marriage to actor Kwak Jung-wook in 2022 and the birth of their first daughter in May of last year.
Drama Premise and Park Se-young’s Character
‘Family Affairs Certificate’ tells the story of a woman’s journey to reclaim her life against societal prejudice and a harsh destiny. Her character, Na Ji-ni, is an aspiring animator aiming to create K-animation that resonates globally. The drama delves into the complex emotional landscape of a character who carries hidden scars despite living in a seemingly vibrant world.
The released stills showcase Park Se-young in various poignant moments, from holding a bouquet of flowers to gazing thoughtfully at artwork in an exhibition space. These images hint at a portrayal of youthful passion and intricate emotional depth, fueling curiosity about her performance.
Production Team’s Expectations
A representative from the production team commented, “Park Se-young is delicately expressing Na Ji-ni’s warm emotions and profound inner self.” They added, “With an acting performance deepened by her hiatus, she is leading the drama’s core with exceptional skill.”
Park Se-young and Kwak Jung-wook first met on the set of the 2013 drama ‘School 2013’ and married in 2022. They welcomed their daughter last year.
