Kim Ji-seon, who underwent a hysterectomy due to uterine fibroids, openly shares her heartfelt decision to adopt a puppy as her youngest ‘daughter’ named Mummu. This move directly addresses her deepest family concerns about expanding her household.
Emotional Reveal on YouTube
During a recent broadcast on the YouTube channel ‘Eom Syo,’ Kim Ji-seon introduced Mummu, hugging the puppy tightly. She revealed, “The biggest worry at home was having another child.” The adoption stemmed from a dire situation where the puppy faced euthanasia at a shelter.
Kim explained that Mummu had been confined to a tiny cage, unable to venture out freely. “There were many who insisted it needed to be put down,” she stated, highlighting the urgency of the rescue.
Consultation with Shin Dong-yeop’s Wife
The journey began with advice received during a private discussion in Shin Dong-yeop’s wife’s room. The suggestion was straightforward: “Try raising a puppy.” Kim responded thoughtfully, “If you bring home a puppy, it becomes a jewel shining brightly for the family.”
Despite initial hesitation, the shelter owner returned Mummu after just half a day. Kim noted the owner’s reluctance: “The owner doesn’t enjoy taking away distressed dogs, so she hesitated to let it go. Many house-trained puppies were available, but she couldn’t part with them easily.”
Ultimately, the shelter owner selected this particular anxious puppy first. Kim facilitated the match, leading the family to claim Mummu. Soon after, the puppy emerged from its cage on its own and barked excitedly at the new family members.
Current Joy and Lasting Bond
Reflecting on the outcome, Kim shared, “They came out of the cage themselves and even barked at the family, despite their shyness. Now, hugging her provides the greatest relief.” Her affectionate gaze toward Mummu underscores the deep connection formed.
Viewer Reactions Pour In
Audience responses flooded the comments, praising the shelter’s role with sentiments like “The puppy saved the family,” acknowledging the harsh realities of euthanasia sites, and expressing sympathy for Mummu with notes such as “So heartbreaking.”
